Yoga Nidra—known as yogic sleep—is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.
It helps calm the mind and relax the nervous system as we travel through the physical, energetic, mind / emotional, wisdom and bliss bodies (known as koshas). Using a combination of breathing awareness, body scanning and visualization, the practice allows you to explore your inner self and increase overall mental well-being.
